Here are the 6 real outfits I actually wore — from exploring the Burj Khalifa and Al Fahidi District to a desert safari and dinner at a rooftop restaurant. No fashion expertise required.

What to Wear in Dubai for a Desert Safari

My two biggest fashion tips for the desert safari are 1) wear sandals because you will constantly have sand in your shoes, and 2) bring a bigger jacket than you think because the desert gets hot in the day and very cold at night.

For a Day Out

Here are a couple casual outfit ideas for being out and about exploring the city! Dubai is a fairly progressive city compared to some of the surrounding countries and emirates, so I did not feel strange wearing a tank top or crop top. I would only advise against it in mosques, as they won’t let you in, and Bur Dubai.
